Why We Need Your Help

The ministry of All Peoples has always been bigger than a congregation in the city. It is about disciples growing in faith - disciples from the neighborhood, and from communities near and far. hundreds give their time to serve and lead at 2nd and Clark. We celebrate partnerships that cross lines that society says should divide us and unite us as a common people. We wouldn't have it any other way.

We dream of being an urban church that has 200 people in worship every Sunday

We dream of having a food pantry that lives into the calling of Isaiah 55 - "come all who hunger".

We dream of a community growing in health and wellness.

We dream of youth leading today and driving the future of our church.

We dream of being a church for all peoples including handicapped accessibility.

We have begun the great work of making these dreams come true. This requires strong leadership, a growing staff that empowers the congregation, and the financial backing to support our ministries.

Like many, we see the realities of a troubling economy. We see it as a church struggling to make payroll each month; but we see it much more as people come to our church for help. They come wanting hope, seeking peace, wanting to be loved, craving joy. They are given Jesus.

The needs of our city's most vulnerable grow as our nation faces an uncertain economic future. Yet God was doing something at All Peoples long before Wall Street, Fanny and Freddie, and Lehman stumbled and fell. God gave the leadership of our church the outrageous courage to establish programs and hire strong staff based on faith and a deep sense that this is our calling.

With all that we offer right now, God has equipped us to meet needs and face the challenges before us - not with fear, but with hope; not with anger, but peace; not with resentment, but love; not dread, but joy. And we cannot do it without you. We need your prayers, your presence and your financial gifts. We have responded to God's call and are a growing church. We need your gifts to grow with us. We need you to pray and ask God if there is more you can do. We need you because we are better together.
