Topic: Becoming A Woman of Substance

Scripture

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not              seen.”

                                            – Hebrews11:1

Message

Women who realize their full potential delight the Great Creator with their brilliance.  Maya Angelou says, “A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing.  She goes where she will without pretense and arrives at her destination, prepared to be herself and only herself.”  St. Irenaeus says, “The glory of God is a human being fully alive.”  Sarah Ban Breathnach says, “Bearing witness to my authentic self is the most joyous and fulfilling spiritual path I have ever followed.”  And I say, “Living your authentic life can be one of the most personal forms of worship, your everyday life, a prayer.”

Food for Thought

What will you do differently now that you are a woman of substance?               Create an imaginary council with a group of “Invisible Counselors” composed of the women you most admire.  Conduct success strategy sessions in which you seek their advice.  Follow their tracks.  Learn about their personal journeys.  Someone has laid a path for you to follow.

Prayer

Oh God,

Keep me believing that I have the passion, intelligence, brilliance, creativity, wisdom, clarity, depth, and savvy to find that quiet center of solace, serenity, and strength necessary to create and sustain my authentic life.  May I know that the union of my authentic style and Your spirit creates a woman of substance.  May my substance be my center in You.  May my authentic self bring glorify to Your name.

                                                                   Amen
