“Centered on Christ, we are called to be an inviting beacon of light in our community”

Dear Members of Dr. Martin Luther Church,

I hope that this day is finding you all safe and well.  I am hoping most of you have had a chance to meet or at least see through his “snapshots” our new interim pastor.  Pastor Steve has been spiritually gracious enough to guide us with his leadership during this time.  His energy, faith and positive outlook are what we are going to need as we navigate these uncharted waters.  I hope you will have an opportunity to meet him soon if you haven’t already.

The process for the search for our next long term call continues.  Those who are interested in being a part of either of the 2 committees in this process should contact Andy King.

I would like to let you know that the church council and staff along with Pastor Steve will be addressing the current circumstances we find ourselves in.  We will be cautiously formatting a plan that allows us to resume our in person worship services.  This information will be provided to you through our website, our Facebook page, as well as, a letter sent to you via e-mail or traditional mail.  The details as to the precautions necessary and the dates we’ll be ready will be included in that letter.  At this point, neither we nor the church office, have any additional information.  I hope you all have been taking advantage of the online worship services that have been provided to keep us all connected in faith.

Finally, I am hopeful that some light is being cast on that which was previously shaded.  Our faith and perseverance have carried us thus far, and patience and community will help us complete this journey.

May your blessings abound,

DJ Scherret

Church Council President
