ELCA National Youth Gathering

Every three years, thousands of high schoolers and adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) come together for the ELCA Youth Gathering.

Next year’s event will take place from June 28th to July 2nd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at U.S. Bank Stadium. Each night, participants will share in a unique faith experience through worship and storytelling. The Gathering is an opportunity to ask big questions, grow in faith, and be part of something bigger than oneself.

The theme for the event is “Imagine More,” grounded in Ephesians 3:20. This theme reminds us that God’s power is at work within us, doing far more than we can ask or imagine. This theme speaks to every story and every season of faith, offering assurance of God’s deep love, grace, and presence. At the Gathering, young people are invited to imagine more love, more welcome, more grace, more joy and more courage — discovering that they belong and that God is calling them to carry hope into the world.

The ELCA Youth Gathering is open to anyone in 8th to 12th grade at the time of registration, which begins October 21st. It has been a long time since DMLC has participated in this amazing event, and we are excited to return.

An informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9th, at 7:00 PM, immediately following the Youth/Parent Confirmation meeting.
