Confirmation
What is our Confirmation Program?
Confirmation is a two year faith education program for mainly 7th and 8th grade students. The program entails learning, fellowship, worship and service.
The first year, the focus is on a survey of the Bible, both the Old and New Testament. The second year concentrates on the important aspects of faith outlined in Martin Luther’s Small Catechism.
What is Taught?
We discuss the Ten Commandments, the Apostle’s Creed, the Lord’s Prayer and the Sacraments. The students also gather in small groups with Adult guides for sharing and support.
The Confirmation celebration service is held every year on Reformation Sunday.
2026-2027 Confirmation
Confirmation will begin September 9th, 2026 at 6:00PM
Confirmation Class is held at 6:00pm on the 2nd and 3rd Wednesday of each month September - April. On the 1st Wednesday of each month the students serve at St Ben’s in Milwaukee.
This year we will prepare to send Confirmation students to the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering “IMAGINE MORE” in Minneapolis, MN - June 28 - July 2, 2027.
