Serving at St. Ben’s

Our Confirmation class recently served their final meal at St. Ben's for this year. Since 2022, our students, along with some of their parents and DMLC adult members, have been serving the guests. This has been a valuable experience for our middle schoolers, allowing them to show kindness and care to the unhoused in the Milwaukee community.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our students—Arrow, Isaac, Julianna, Natalie, and Sami—who will be confirming their faith next Sunday, May 18th, during our 10:30 am worship service. We also deeply appreciate the parents who have accompanied them throughout this meaningful service. As DMLC serves at St. Ben's on the first Wednesday of each month, which conflicts with Wednesday’s worship, I am especially grateful for the partnership of all the parents in making this possible.

I would also like to express particular thanks to Kayla Dehnert, who has faithfully driven into Milwaukee almost every Wednesday since we joined this outreach three years ago.

We commend our entire DMLC community for their nearly thirty years of dedicated service, providing both nourishment and spiritual support at St. Ben's. Please join me in continuing to keep the Capuchin Community of St. Benedict the Moor in our prayers.
