New Life!
We are just two weeks past Easter, and the signs of new life are all around us. One of the benefits of having a later Easter date is the rapid greening of the trees and grass we have seen since Easter. The ducklings and goslings have returned to the lake, and I hear the different adult birds protecting their young, very loudly!
We find our spirits are lifted as the days grow longer, and hopefully, a little warmer. The connection between the arrival of spring and Easter, the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus, helps us to follow the rhythm of nature and point to more light, either literally or through Christ.
If you are an early riser, find a place outside in the morning where you can sit and listen to the call of the birds welcoming us to spring and the new day!
See you in church!
