Favorite Flower

One of my favorite flowers is the iris. It is a flower I have always cherished, largely because it was a favorite of my mother’s, and seeing them always brings her to mind.

We are fortunate to have irises at our home, and I look forward to their bloom every spring. The unique anatomy of the iris features three outer "fall" petals and three inner "standard" petals. Because of this, some see the iris as representative of the Trinity, symbolizing faith, hope, and wisdom, and creating a divine connection between heaven and earth.
