Lutheran World Relief — Quilts and Kits Update
In response to the great need felt in the United States last year, Lutheran World Relief opened a new chapter by expanding the Quilt & Kit Ministry to help our neighbors closer to home. For those facing devastating wildfires, hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes, our quilts, kits, and financial support have been a lifeline. Especially after Hurricanes Helene and Milton decimated communities across the Southeast, even before those storms made landfall, 10 shipping containers — filled with more than 60,000 handmade quilts and 76,000 essential kits — were en route across six states.
Dr. Martin Luther Church sent 141 quilts, as well as Personal Care Kits and Baby Kits. While we have no idea who received those items, we sent them with prayers, prayers of hope and love.
See you in church!!
